Prior to your BOTOX® Cosmetic appointment, do not smoke or drink alcohol for 48 hours. You will also be advised to stop or change any blood-thinning medications, including non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, before the session.
Dr. Ereso or Nurse Iwona will administer BOTOX® Cosmetic by applying a local anesthetic cream and injecting 15 to 50 units into the treatment area with a fine needle. The procedure typically takes about 20 minutes, and downtime is generally not needed. Within a few days, wrinkles and lines in the treated areas should appear noticeably less pronounced.
